Established since 2003, X-press Performers was founded by the principal Jennifer Lee, a professional performer, choreographer and teacher with years of experience in stage work and T.V.
X-press Performers has 2 branches, one in L6 and the other in L11. This gives our students the flexibility to come to classes at either venue. If they miss a class, they can catch up on a different day.
• Children are taught to a very high standard by highly qualified professionals with years of experience.
• Exams taken in I.S.T.D. and L.A.M.D.A. (optional)
• Shows are performed around Merseyside. (optional)
• Competitions performed around the UK. (optional)
Students are always encouraged to take part in exams, shows and competitions but never made to feel like they must! They can just come along to have fun and get fit, the decision is yours and theirs!
We regularly hold fundraising events to raise money for the students costumes and other equipment they need which really helps to ensure our service is affordable for everyone.
We are very proud of all the adults and children we teach. They are fantastic and they all work really hard. This is shown through the high marks they achieve in their exam results and the numerous trophies and medals they have won.
X-press Performers is more than just a performing arts school. On joining us every student will become part of the family! They will be welcomed into a friendly environment where they can make new friends and have lots of fun whilst building confidence and perfecting the skills they are taught by our highly qualified, D.B.S. checked teachers who are highly qualified and have years of experience within the industry.
At our school we strongly believe in equal opportunities, making sure that every member gets the individual care attention they deserve and is taught to the highest standard possible and member is given the opportunity to succeed and is encouraged to be the best they can be.
Our classes are kept small to ensure that each student is shown individual attention. Our classes are suitable for all abilities from pre school age to adult. We even have a parent and toddler class to give parents quality time with their child and have fun. New members are always welcome. The more the merrier! Boys and girls classes start from age 1 upwards
At X-press performers we believe that all students should have fun whilst learning. Our classes are structured to do just that! Our classes promote fitness, stamina, strength, flexibility and co ordination as well as skills needed for everyday life including team work, social skills, problem solving, confidence and encouragement to set goals for themselves and achieve them. Hopefully helping them to go further in life. We also believe that every student is an individual and they each learn in different ways which are identified by our experienced teachers. We take no more than 15 students in each class so that they get the attention they deserve whilst bringing out the best in each of them and hopefully encouraging them to grow into happy, confident and healthy adults.

If a student wants to take performing a little more serious, or for those who want to follow a career in performing, we have specially designed classes in which the students can work on extra skills needed within the industry. They can do extra shows and enter even more prestigious competitions which in recent years have been judged by Wayne sleep, Bonnie Langford, Lionel Blair and the school principal Jennifer Lee as well as other teachers at X-press performers.
WE ARE NOT JUST YOUR AVERAGE DANCE SCHOOL, READ ON TO SEE WHY!
At X-press performers we believe in giving our students a worthwhile education in performing. By this we mean that as well as entering students for grade exams which are recognized in the dance world, we enter children (when ready) for I.S.T.D. grades which are recognised world wide. We are very proud to say that we are one of a minority of dance schools in the area qualified to teach the I.S.T.D. syllabus, thus not only giving the students an interesting hobby but helping them into further education. This is because I.S.T.D. dance examinations also count towards the new diplomas for 14-19 year olds which have been introduced to secondary schools and are approved as specialist learning in the Creative and Media diploma. I.S.T.D. qualifications are accredited in the national framework. Although the Diploma is for children aged 14-19, the children can get a head start with us by taking grade examinations from as young as age 6.
Acheivements
Acheivements at the school include film and T.V work, modeling contracts, Auditions and classes with the Royal Ballet, appearences in local news papers and radio stations. Exam results have been outstanding with a 100% pass rate and they have gained numerous 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in every competition they have entered.
They have performed on some of the biggest stages in the U.K. including the Echo Arena and the Liverpool Empire whilst raising a sustantial amout of money for Marie Curie and children with Lukemia.
The students regularly take part in competitions and have gained numerous team trophies as well as 1st, 2nd and 3rd place medals
Disco Ducks, Twinkle toes ballet and Tapping tots are our dance classes for ages 1 1/2 – 3. Please see our preschool classes for more information.
